Philippine Airlines earns place among world’s best airlines, ranked 62nd

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) has been ranked 62nd in the world’s best airlines list by British newspaper The Telegraph, standing out among 90 global carriers. PAL earned a total score of 438 based on 16 assessed criteria, excelling in categories such as in-flight experience (90), reliability (61), luggage rules (55), and connectivity (23).

PAL surpassed some notable low-cost carriers like AirAsia (63rd), Norwegian (64th), and Scoot (65th), as well as flag carriers Egyptair (68th), SriLankan Airlines (69th), and Royal Air Maroc (70th). Middle Eastern airlines Emirates, Qatar Airways, and Singapore Airlines topped the list.

The Telegraph ranked airlines based on various factors including passenger ratings for legroom, in-flight meals, punctuality, luggage policies, and route network. PAL’s recognition follows its achievement as the fourth most punctual airline in Asia and the Pacific, according to aviation analytics firm Cirium.

This year, PAL is investing $450 million in upgrading its in-flight services as part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing passenger experience.
