Motorists urged to drive safely as rain forecast in parts of UAE

Residents of the UAE can expect rain to affect some eastern and western parts of the country on Friday, with cloud formation anticipated, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

Authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution in response to the wet weather. Abu Dhabi Police, in a post on X, reminded motorists to adhere to changing speed limits displayed on electronic boards due to the conditions.

Skies are forecast to be partly cloudy, with temperatures gradually decreasing. Humidity will be high, especially along coastal areas, and winds are expected to be moderate to strong over the sea, causing some dust. The sea will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.

Temperatures could drop to 19°C in mountainous regions and reach as high as 40°C inland. Coastal cities such as Abu Dhabi and Dubai will see highs around 37°C.
