Dubai’s skyline to feature ultra-slim 73-storey tower with luxury residences

Dubai is set to welcome a striking new addition to its skyline as Muraba, a local property firm, revealed plans for the “unusually narrow” Muraba Veil. Designed by award-winning Spanish architects RCR Arquitectes, the 73-storey tower will stand at 380 meters tall with a unique width of just 22.5 meters, the size of a single apartment.

The skyscraper, located along Sheikh Zayed Road, will house 131 luxury residences ranging from two to five-bedroom units, along with top-tier amenities like a wellness spa, restaurant, gallery, padel court, and private cinema. Prices for the units will start at Dhs18 million.

RCR Arquitectes explained in a Time Out Dubai report that the Muraba Veil’s slender profile was made possible by the latest design and engineering innovations. The tower’s façade will be wrapped in a stainless steel mesh, or “Veil,” designed to reflect the sky’s changing shades, blending the building into its surroundings.

In a statement, Rafael Aranda, founder of RCR Arquitectes, shared, “We are passionate about ensuring our buildings are responsive to the place, that they belong to the site and the native landscape where they are situated.”

Although no completion date has been set, the Muraba Veil promises to offer residents not only stunning views of the Burj Khalifa but also a serene and spacious living experience inspired by traditional Arabian homes.
