In a proactive move for early breast cancer detection, Seha, the UAE’s largest health services network, announced the availability of free mammogram screenings in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi. The initiative aims to enhance well-being through timely detection, which Seha emphasized as the “first line of defence against breast cancer” in a recent social media post.
The screenings will be provided at multiple facilities across both cities. This aligns with Breast Cancer Awareness Month efforts, which also include free clinical breast exams and mammograms offered by Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP) across the UAE in October.
FOCP’s Pink Caravan initiative, running annually, allows female citizens and residents to access these screenings, while companies can book a Mobile Clinic for employees.
