Snoop Dogg gives shoutout to his ‘It’s Showtime’ lookalike

The popular segment “Kalokalike Face 4” from It’s Showtime has been making waves not just in the Philippines but internationally, too. Recently, the show caught the attention of American rapper and singer Snoop Dogg.

Snoop Dogg shared a clip from the program on his Instagram page, which featured his Filipino impersonator, Carlos, from Tondo, Manila. The clip captured funny moments between Carlos and the show’s hosts, especially when Carlos humorously gave up on his impersonation mid-performance, slipping into Tagalog.

“You got this! Don’t give up!” It’s Showtime host Ogie Alcasid encouraged him, as the audience burst into laughter.

Carlos, leaning into the comedic moment, responded, “My mother said I was conceived while she was craving Snoopy,” drawing even more laughs from the crowd. He then added, “I thought about it, but I just don’t care anymore,” fully embracing the lighthearted vibe.

Toward the end of the clip, It’s Showtime host Vhong Navarro teased Carlos, jokingly comparing him to the well-known Filipino comedian Brod Pete.

Although Snoop Dogg may not have fully understood the language, it was clear he enjoyed the playful interactions on the show. In his caption, he wrote, “Wow get it nefew!” with laughing and crying emojis. Snoop also shared the reel in his Instagram story, where it garnered plenty of attention from his followers.

Fans flooded the comment section with laughter, leaving creative parody names for Carlos, such as “Snoop Taga Log” and “Snoop Cat.” Even Filipino actress Dawn Zulueta joined in, laughing at Carlos’ “Snoopy story.”
