A 23-year-old fisherman tragically lost his life in Cebu after a live fish he caught became lodged in his throat. According to a report from GTV News’ “State of the Nation” on Monday, the fisherman had joined a fishing trip with his partner.
While pulling in the net, he grabbed one of the live fish and attempted to bite its head. However, the fish wriggled free and entered his throat, blocking his airway and preventing him from breathing.
The report did not specify the size of the fish, but it was mentioned that the man’s throat had swollen following the incident.
