An Indian entrepreneur with a heart for the Filipino community is set to give away 100 sacks of rice to Filipinos in need along near the Philippine Supermarket in Al Rigga on Friday, October 11, 2024. The initiative will begin at 9PM and aims to support Filipinos, particularly those struggling with unemployment, low income, or financial challenges.
Vijay Bhatia, founder of Jules Tourism, shared his motivation behind this generous project with The Global Filipino Magazine, stating that it is part of his thanksgiving for the blessings he has received. “I want to share these blessings with Filipinos, especially those who are going through tough times. However, anyone passing by Muraqqabat who wishes to receive a sack of rice will be given one, as long as supplies last,” he added.
Known for his unwavering support of Filipino events and causes, Bhatia’s travel agency is also largely composed of Filipino staff. His longstanding connection with the Filipino community has earned him the affectionate title of “Indian with a Filipino heart.”
