Man dies during Cathay Pacific flight from Dhaka to Hong Kong

A 47-year-old man from Bangladesh tragically passed away during a Cathay Pacific flight from Dhaka to Hong Kong earlier this week. According to a report by the South China Morning Post, the man collapsed on flight CX662 and was found unconscious during the final check before the plane landed.

Cathay Pacific confirmed the passenger’s death and expressed their “heartfelt condolences” to his family. The aircraft landed in Hong Kong at 7:49 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, and local authorities responded to the scene shortly after. The man was declared dead on-site, with an autopsy pending to determine the cause of death.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing. This follows a similar case weeks earlier, when a 71-year-old German man died mid-flight from Hong Kong to Mumbai. The Hong Kong Aircrew Officers Association has reminded travelers to notify the cabin crew if they feel unwell during flights.
