Netflix Philippines is set to release its first-ever zombie movie, “Outside,” globally on October 17. The film, directed by Carlo Ledesma, stars Sid Lucero and Beauty Gonzalez, alongside Marco Masa and Aiden Patdu.
The official two-minute trailer was released on September 19 across Netflix Philippines’ social media platforms, offering viewers a glimpse of the thrilling new film. “Outside” follows the story of a family who flees to the father’s childhood farmhouse in an attempt to escape a zombie outbreak. Lucero plays a cunning father, while Gonzalez portrays a strong-willed mother, as they fight for survival along with their sons, played by Masa and Patdu.
Director Ledesma, speaking at the Netflix APAC Southeast Asia Showcase in June, emphasized that “Outside” is not just a typical zombie movie but a “terrifying psychological thriller” centered on the family’s struggle to survive amid chaos.
The movie also features special appearances by Enchong Dee and Joel Torre.
