The Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) has announced a P20 million reward for anyone who can provide information on the individual who donated the P10 million bounty against Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
“According to the officers of KOJC, mayroon po silang inaalok na P20 million to those who can provide information as to who gave the private money to [DILG] Sec. Benhur Abalos para daw madakip si Pastor Quiboloy,” stated Atty. Israelito Torreon during an interview on TeleRadyo Serbisyo’s Story Outlook.
Torreon highlighted that accepting private funds is illegal under Republic Act 6713 Sec. 7D, which prohibits public officials from accepting any gift, gratuity, favor, loan, or anything of monetary value from private individuals in the course of their duties.
“Ang mga opisyal ng KOJC ay interesado kung sino itong mga pribadong tao na nag-raise ng pera para malaman kung ano ang ikinagalit nila kay Pastor Apollo Quiboloy o ano ba ‘yung mga pakay nila o may transaksyon ito kay Sec. Abalos,” Torreon added.
KOJC is also seeking information regarding an alleged assassination plot against Quiboloy. “Gusto rin nila malaman kung sino makabigay ng impormasyon dun sa nagbabalak daw na patayin si pastor. Kasi may team daw na binuo para i-assassinate si Pastor Apollo Quiboloy,” said Torreon.
When asked how the KOJC would verify information about the assassination plot, Torreon replied, “That is decided by my client. Sila naman ay private sector naman. That’s it. They are not governed by any rule. Except the fact that if they feel that the information is [true], then they will decide as to the matter.”
Regarding the source of the P20 million reward, Torreon mentioned that KOJC has about 7 million members worldwide, making it possible to pool the money for the bounty.
On July 8, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) announced a P10 million reward for information leading to Quiboloy’s arrest and P1 million each for his co-accused.
