Heavy rains and hailstorm hit various regions in the UAE, offering relief from heat

Residents in the UAE experienced relief from soaring temperatures as heavy rains and hail lashed various regions on Tuesday. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued orange and yellow alerts for eastern areas, cautioning residents about hazardous weather and advising care during outdoor activities.

Videos from Storm Centre showed strong gusts and heavy rainfall hitting Al-Qua Razin in Abu Dhabi during the evening. Al Dhafra’s Gasyoura region also reported heavy rains accompanied by hail.

Significant rainfall was observed in several parts of Al Ain, including Al Hilli, Al Reef, An Nayfah, Bad Bint Sa’oud, Al Masoudi, and Al Nabbagh, with light scattered rains north of Al Foah. Footage captured rain drenching Al Ain’s roads, particularly in Al Hilli, where motorists were seen driving through wet conditions.

Abu Dhabi Police urged motorists to adopt safety measures during the wet weather, emphasizing caution and adherence to speed limits displayed on electronic boards.

According to NCM’s forecast, temperatures across the UAE are expected to range from 24°C to 48°C in internal areas, with humidity increasing by night and a chance of fog or mist forming over some coastal regions by Wednesday morning.
