Samsung users are being urged to update their devices after the tech giant released new security updates to address several vulnerabilities. The UAE Cyber Security Council has advised users to update their Android devices to the latest version to ensure their safety.
These vulnerabilities were discovered in major flagship models and could potentially allow attackers to gain unauthorized access or steal data. The update includes patches from Google’s Android Security Bulletin for July 2024, as well as additional fixes from Samsung.
Samsung has issued disclaimers noting that regular OS upgrades might delay planned security updates, but these upgrades will include the latest security patches when delivered. The delivery time for these patches can vary by region and model. Additionally, some device-specific patches from chipset vendors may not be included immediately but will be part of future updates.
