UAE Motorists Offered Chance to Cancel Traffic Black Points in Road Safety Initiative
Ahead of the much-anticipated “Accident-Free Day” on August 28, UAE motorists have been presented with an opportunity to erase four black traffic points from their record. This incentive has been introduced by the Federal Traffic Council to reward drivers who show support for the national “Accident-Free Day” campaign.
Launched at the start of the new school year, the initiative encourages public participation to foster road safety awareness. To benefit from the point reduction, motorists only need to sign a pledge in connection with the campaign.
Details of the campaign, including how to make the pledge, are readily available on the Ministry of Interior’s social media platforms and its official website.
Brig. General Engineer Hussain Ahmed Al Harthy, who chairs the Federal Traffic Council, voiced the campaign’s aim to intensify road safety consciousness. Through this initiative, he wishes not only to motivate drivers but also to underline the vital role “Accident-Free Day” plays in bolstering traffic safety and vigilance.
Highlighting the broader picture, Al Harthy stressed the importance of ongoing public cooperation to adhere to traffic rules, while the “Accident-Free Day” is a step forward in consolidating national endeavors by various organizations dedicated to this cause.
