A Singapore Airlines flight from London to Singapore encountered severe turbulence over Myanmar’s Irrawaddy Basin, resulting in one fatality and numerous injuries, including two Filipinos. One of the five Filipino passengers aboard sustained a neck fracture, while a 62-year-old Filipino is currently in the ICU after losing consciousness during the incident.
The Boeing 777-300ER, about 10 hours into its journey, was forced to make an emergency landing in Bangkok due to the turbulence. Andrew Davies, a passenger onboard, described the chaos as items flew around the cabin, causing distress among passengers.
