Eugenia “Gene” Artango-Villasper, a prominent Filipino artist, was awarded “Best Wearable Art” at World Art Dubai on May 7, 2024. Known for her dynamic cubist interpretations that vividly express themes such as femininity, abundance, empowerment, compassion, love, and joy, Gene continues to make significant marks in the international art scene.
A graduate with a BFA in Advertising Arts from the University of the East in the Philippines, she is a respected member of The Saturday Group of Artists, the Art Association of the Philippines, and Steampunk Philippines.
Gene’s artistic achievements include receiving the 2024 International Prize Botticelli Award and participating in the 2023 XIV Florence Biennale.
The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates extended their congratulations to Ms. Artango-Villasper for her outstanding achievement in this prestigious event.
