In a recent event held at Concourse C of Dubai International Airport, a British and an Indian national were declared the new dollar millionaires in the latest Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draw, reports Gulf News.
Nasrin S, a 48-year-old British national residing in London, won $1 million in Millennium Millionaire Series 460 with ticket number 3184, purchased on her way to Bahrain on April 4. A first-time ticket buyer and a mother of four, Nasrin expressed her disbelief and gratitude, noting she had not informed anyone about her ticket purchase.
Joining her in fortune was Payal, a 42-year-old Indian expatriate based in Dubai, who won US$1 million in Millennium Millionaire Series 461 with a ticket bought online on May 3. A Dubai resident for 12 years and a regular participant in the draw, Payal plans to use her winnings to secure her children’s future and assist her brother in Australia.
The draw was overseen by Dubai Duty Free’s COO Ramesh Cidambi and other senior officials. Following the millionaire announcement, the Finest Surprise draw awarded luxury cars and motorbikes. Among the winners were Eid Ali, a 37-year-old Emirati, and Nawaf Saad, a 64-year-old from Saudi Arabia, each winning luxury vehicles.
