The iconic Dubai Frame is set to undergo a significant transformation, unveiling a new exhibition that envisions the city’s future. Announced at the Arabian Travel Mart, the makeover includes an innovative “future of Dubai” exhibition. “We will have a future of Dubai exhibition which will show visitors how the city will look 50 years in the future,” explained Ahmed Ibrahim AlZarouni, Head of Public Parks and Recreational Facilities at Dubai Municipality, in a Khaleej Times report. “It will be totally different to what the public has seen at the attraction so far.”
Located in Zabeel Park and standing 150 metres tall, the Dubai Frame offers panoramic views of the city’s past and present landscapes. The new exhibition will be housed on the mezzanine floor, which already features a display detailing Dubai’s evolution from a fishing village to a global commercial hub.
“This will be a very unique experience,” Ahmed added. “It will be completely interactive and will show how the emirate will be after 50 years in line with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision.” The exhibition is set to include special audiovisual effects, enhancing the visitor experience.
Construction is expected to begin soon, with completion slated for the last quarter of next year. “Soon, you will see the construction start there and visitors there will be rerouted,” Ahmed noted. Despite the renovation, most areas of the attraction will remain open to the public, with only parts of the mezzanine floor closed during the works.
Last year, the Dubai Frame attracted over 1.6 million visitors, and with the upcoming enhancements, officials anticipate a significant increase in visitor numbers.
