Andi Eigenmann denies breakup rumors, blames misinformation on social media

Actress Andi Eigenmann addressed rumors on Instagram about her breakup with fiancé Philmar Alipayo, calling the speculations baseless. Eigenmann, who recently vacationed in Japan with her family, was surprised by the rumors upon her return. “I literally just went on a vacation with my brother and our kids, and come home to find out, through the internet, that I’ve just been separated,” she shared, using a laughing emoji to underscore her amusement at the false claims.

The rumors seemed to have compounded due to Eigenmann’s public mourning over the loss of her mother, veteran actress Jaclyn Jose, who died of a heart attack in March. In another Instagram story, Eigenmann expressed frustration over social media reactions to her grief. “Some didn’t seem to like that I was grieving the loss of my nanay,” she wrote. “They claimed I have been faking my sadness about it all along.”

Eigenmann humorously noted the absurdity of the internet’s assumptions about her emotional state. “Due to this, the internet has decided that the reason for my sadness is not that I have recently been an orphan but in fact, a divorcee (even if I had never been married),” she explained.

Despite the distressing rumors, Eigenmann and Alipayo remain engaged. They had planned to marry this year but postponed the wedding following Jose’s death.
