The Sharjah Police have launched a search for a Pakistani teenager, Muhammad Abdullah, who has been missing since April 14. Abdullah’s parents reported his disappearance, prompting authorities to initiate efforts to locate him.
According to his father, Mohammed Ali, Abdullah, a 17-year-old engaged in private studies at home, vanished after being sent to a nearby furniture market in Abu Shagara to call a carpenter for some household work. Ali expressed his distress, stating in a Gulf News report, “Our family has become so devastated, especially his mother. We have been really worried about his safety during this unprecedented rain.”
Abdullah, one of twin boys, left home around 4:15 pm wearing a black full-sleeve sweatshirt and grey jeans. Ali mentioned that his son did not carry his phone or Emirates ID, only taking his wallet containing some money.
Despite efforts to locate Abdullah, including checking CCTV footage from their building, there has been no success in finding him. Ali highlighted the challenges faced in searching for Abdullah amidst flooded areas due to recent rainfall.
“We are just hoping that he is safe somewhere and we can find him soon,” Ali said, reflecting the family’s anguish over Abdullah’s disappearance.
