The Ministry of Defence’s Joint Operations Command proudly declared the triumphant conclusion of the 32nd ‘Birds of Goodness’ airdrop mission, facilitating the delivery of 87 tonnes of humanitarian aid and Eid clothing to northern Gaza.
In collaboration with the UAE Air Force deploying two C17s and the Egyptian Air Force contributing two C295s and one C130 aircraft, the operation aimed to address the pressing needs of the Palestinian populace during Eid Al Fitr.
The airdropped supplies, comprising essential food provisions and special Eid clothing parcels for families, included clothes, toys, sweets, and assorted products for all members. Targeting remote areas in northern Gaza inaccessible by land routes, the mission sought to instill hope and alleviate hardships among the local community.
With this latest delivery, the cumulative aid dispatched via the ‘Birds of Goodness’ initiative has reached 2025 tonnes since its inception, with the UAE’s contribution to northern Gaza exceeding 2,395 tonnes, encompassing both land shipments through the Kerem Shalom crossing and aerial operations.
