Rainfall expected in UAE during last 10 days of March, forecasts say

The UAE is set to experience rainfall in the last 10 days of March, according to forecasts by the country’s weather experts. After a month of heavy rains followed by weeks of pleasant weather, the UAE is bracing for another round of precipitation as temperatures start to rise.

The Storm Centre, a prominent weather authority in the UAE, has released a forecast along with a map indicating expected precipitation levels across different regions. Coastal areas are predicted to receive light rainfall, ranging from 10mm to 40mm, while internal regions could see heavier showers, with amounts between 50mm and 80mm.

In Abu Dhabi, rainfall intensity is expected to vary, with coastal regions anticipating 10mm to 20mm and more secluded areas preparing for 25mm to 50mm of rain. Dubai and Sharjah are forecasted to experience significant rainfall, even in coastal zones, with predictions of 15mm to 50mm of total accumulated precipitation.

Further supporting the Storm Centre’s forecast, the National Centre of Meteorology has outlined the weather for the upcoming week. Sunday, March 17, is expected to be partly cloudy with chances of light rain, particularly over islands and some coastal and northern areas. The forecast for Monday and Tuesday suggests fair to partly cloudy skies with light to moderate winds. A notable decrease in temperatures is anticipated by Wednesday, March 20, especially in western areas, alongside increased humidity overnight and possible mist formation in some internal regions.
