Los Baños councilor and former beauty queen Leren Bautista has opened up about her relationship with basketball player Ricci Rivero, putting to rest the controversy that surrounded their romance. In a recent appearance on fashion designer Renee Salud’s vlog, Bautista shared insights into her bond with Rivero and addressed the allegations that plagued their relationship.
“Kung makikita si Ricci ng tao outside social media at makikilala niyo po siya nang personal, hindi niyo po mararamdaman na kailangan mong ma-insecure sa sarili mo,” Bautista expressed, acknowledging the potential intimidation factor of Rivero’s celebrity status. “And very family-oriented talaga… God-fearing din sila as a family.”
The Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2019 titleholder also clarified the rumors that she was the cause of Rivero’s breakup with actress Andrea Brillantes. “Alam ko po ‘yung katotohanan at wala naman po kaming inapakan na tao… Walang nag-overlap, walang inagaw, walang nang-agaw,” she emphasized, asserting the purity of their relationship.
Bautista emphasized that she and Rivero were both single when they began dating and stressed their commitment to honesty and integrity in their relationship. “Malinis po ‘yung conscience namin na ‘yung naging relationship namin ay malinis lang talaga.”
Despite their busy schedules, Bautista and Rivero are focused on nurturing their relationship and advancing their careers. When asked about settling down, Bautista humorously replied, “Los Baños muna,” showing her dedication to her constituents.
