Emirates airline has joined the April Fool’s Day festivities with a tongue-in-cheek social media post announcing the launch of “Emirates Residences,” a 380-story mega-project in Dubai. The post, shared on their official accounts, humorously touts luxury living reaching new heights with premium interiors inspired by the airline’s in-flight experience.
“Introducing Emirates Residences,” the post reads. “Situated in the heart of Dubai, the 380-story mega-project will be adorned with premium interiors inspired by Emirates’ beloved in-flight experience. The tower will even have its own exclusive airport for residents.”
Adding to the whimsy, the post claims that construction on this fantastical project is set to begin on February 31st, 2025—an impossible date given February’s maximum of 28 days.
Last year, Emirates made a similarly playful announcement about “Emirates Sealiner,” an ultra-luxury maritime venture.
