Zayed International Airport has earned the title of “Best Airport at Arrivals Globally” at the Airports Council International’s 2023 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards. The accolade is a part of the ASQ Awards program, which highlights the world’s top airports for customer experience quality based on passenger feedback from nearly 600,000 surveys.
Elena Sorlini, the Managing Director & CEO of Zayed International Airport, expressed profound gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing the significance of being chosen by the passengers themselves. She credited the award to the airport’s team and their unwavering dedication to placing the passenger at the core of their operations. The ASQ programme is unique in the airport industry, serving as the only global benchmarking tool that measures passenger satisfaction directly. It operates across more than 400 airports worldwide, offering a detailed evaluation of the customer service experience.
Rudy Daniello, EVP of Airport & Airline Operations at Amadeus, highlighted the industry’s adoption of technologies like self-service and biometrics to enhance the passenger experience. He pointed out the industry’s evolving focus towards better management of disruptions in collaboration with airlines and other partners, aiming to significantly improve outcomes for passengers during their airport journeys.
