Siblings Eldrew and Elaiza Yulo, younger relatives of Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, are under fire from netizens after joining a TikTok dance challenge that allegedly mocks people with disabilities (PWDs).
A user on X (formerly Twitter) reposted the controversial video, which featured the Yulo siblings alongside another person dancing to the song “Let’s Get Retawded.” Their movements, including twitching, jerking their limbs, and walking unevenly, were interpreted by some as an imitation of the song’s lyrics, which many claim have long mocked those with disabilities.
The original video, reportedly uploaded by TikTok user @majo.joshimhae, has since been taken down from the platform.

Opinions on the video are divided. While some netizens believe the dance was meant to resemble a zombie, others are adamant that it was offensive. One X user commented, “They are mocking people with stroke or other patients with neurological deficit.” Another user added, “Kahit pa sabihing katuwaan lang yan, di po yan katawa tawa. Insulto po yan sa kapwa ko PWD.”
The song itself has a history of being criticized for incorporating movements and lyrics that mock disabilities.
