The Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC) has initiated a significant campaign to promote awareness about the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine’s crucial role in preventing cervical cancer. Through a recent announcement on social media, the centre emphasized the importance of this month’s campaign, focusing on educating women on how to safeguard themselves against HPV, a prevalent cause of cervical cancer.
Targeting a specific demographic, the ADPHC is advocating for young women aged 13 to 26 years to receive the HPV vaccine, recommending its administration a few years prior to marriage. This initiative aligns with the centre’s proactive approach to public health and preventive care.
In conjunction with the awareness campaign, the ADPHC recently carried out a comprehensive health screening program known as IFHAS.
