A young woman tragically fell to her death from a high-rise building near Sheikh Zayed Road early Monday morning. The incident occurred in the early hours, with the woman’s body being discovered around 5 a.m. near the RTA car park, next to the Second Home café on the ground floor of Escape Tower, where she resided, Khaleej Times reported.
It is believed that the woman fell from a balcony of the 38-storey building, though her identity and nationality remain unconfirmed. Authorities responded quickly, sealing off the area with yellow tape as police and paramedics attended the scene.
Witnesses described a heavy police presence, with officers speaking to building security and residents as the investigation got underway. The body was removed by paramedics at approximately 7:30 a.m. An Indian resident passing by with her child shared her distress, stating, “It was very disturbing. My child asked questions I couldn’t answer.”
Escape Tower is a popular residential building in Business Bay, known for its proximity to the Business Bay Metro Station. Several nearby residents, including those in Al Batha Tower, reported hearing police sirens around the time of the incident.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the woman’s fall, with further details expected as the inquiry progresses.
