At just 12 years old, Axel Nocom has once again proven his prowess on the international karting stage. Competing in the UAE Rotax Ranking final race at Al Ain Raceway, Axel clinched a remarkable P2 finish, trailing the eventual overall champion, Mitansh Jain of the Mumbai Falcons, by a mere 0.061 seconds at the finish line. His MNM teammate, Veer Chopra, finished P3 in the race but secured P2 in the overall championship, highlighting the team’s strong performance.
This final race was a critical showdown, with only three podium spots available, making every position fiercely contested.
“Nothing beats racing internationally, its the best experience you can have as a racer of my age,” he told TGFM.

A rising star in the world of karting
Axel’s journey in karting began at the age of 7 in the Philippines, and in just five years, he has accumulated an impressive list of achievements. He is a five-time National Mini Karter of the Year in the Philippines, a recognition that underscores his consistency and talent. His rapid rise in the sport has been fueled by his relentless passion for racing.
Axel’s impressive performance in the UAE Rotax Ranking final race is just one of his many international achievements. Competing in the Champions of the Future Academy Program, he raced alongside children of former Formula 1 and Le Mans drivers. Despite the high level of competition, Axel consistently delivered strong performances. In Round 4 in Dubai, he qualified 13th and finished 12th. In Round 5 at Al Ain, he secured P2 in qualifying and finished 4th. In Round 6 at Al Forsan, he again showcased his skills, qualifying P2 and finishing 6th.

His experience at the FIA Motorsport Games in Valencia, Spain, was another highlight of his career. Representing the Philippines, Axel finished 11th out of 36 nations, a remarkable achievement considering the fierce competition.
