Aron Michael Damiano, known artistically as Dnd Axl, has expressed his deep gratitude to the leaders of the UAE through his latest scribble art masterpiece. The young Filipino artist, whose family successfully regularized their residency status with the help of immigration officers, shared his latest artwork featuring portraits of UAE rulers and royal family members with The Global Filipino Magazine.
His tribute piece includes the images of the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan; the current President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; and other esteemed leaders of the nation. The artwork, created on the largest paper size he has ever used, is intended as a heartfelt offering to the UAE immigration office.
“Pinakamalaking size ng papel ibibigay ko po kasi sa immigration sa naglalakad ng papel po namin. Nagbabakasakali na po talaga ako na mapansin na ng mga Sheikh para sa pag-aaral ko po kaya ibibigay ko po sa mismong local ng immigration baka sakaling makita na po nila,” Aron shared.
His ultimate dream is to present his artwork to the UAE leaders in person and earn their recognition. “Siguro po kapag naibigay ko na sa kanila mismo at na-meet ko sila nang personal, ‘yun na din po ang pinakatagumpay para sa akin. Nagbabakasakali pa din po ako para sa Golden Visa kaya hindi po ako napapagod gumawa nang gumawa para sa kanila,” he added.
A journey shaped by challenges
Aron’s life story was previously featured in The Global Filipino Magazine in 2024, highlighting his resilience and artistic journey. Born with a passion for art, he began honing his talent in scribble art at a young age. However, financial struggles forced him to leave school in Grade 12 to help support his family.
To make ends meet, Aron started accepting commissions for his scribble portraits and took on part-time painting jobs. Despite these challenges, his artistic dreams remain unwavering, with his ultimate goal being to secure a scholarship and continue his education.
