The “Beauty of Bahrain” was vibrantly brought to life at the Miss Philippines Bahrain 2023 – Ms. Precious Delos Santos Painting Contest Project, meticulously organized by Ms. Rosemarie Hernandez. The event, graciously hosted at Artful Studio in Juffair, courtesy of venue sponsor Ms. Karen Letran, showcased the talents of 20 young artists, aged 7 to 12, from schools across Bahrain, including the Philippine School Bahrain, Al Wisam School, Al Noor School, and Kidsworld.
Graced by the presence of Miss Universe Bahrain 2023, Lujane Yacoub, the contest was more than a display of art. It was a celebration of Bahrain’s rich cultural tapestry, led by the inspiring Ms. Precious Delos Santos. Beyond her pageant title, Delos Santos served as a mentor, encouraging the participants to delve deep into the nation’s heritage and express it through their art.
The event, supported wholeheartedly by the participating schools and the parents of the young artists, culminated in the announcement of the winners. Kylie Jeianna Perez from the Philippine School Bahrain won First Prize, followed by Gianna Pangilinan of Al Wisam School, and Roshan Dionson, also from the Philippine School Bahrain, in second and third places respectively.
Ms. Karen Letran of Artful Studio was pivotal in organizing the event, ensuring a platform for these young talents to shine. The esteemed panel of judges, Ms. Fatima Hasan, Mr. Ameer Hasan, Mr. Raphael Ordanza, and Ms. Gem Reyes, had the challenging but rewarding task of evaluating the artworks.
The event was also marked by the meticulous efforts of Ms. Flora Plaza Medallon of PICPA-Bahrain in the transparent tabulation of scores, and the invaluable coverage and photography by Convan, capturing the essence of the event.
As the curtains closed on the Miss Philippines Bahrain 2023 – Ms. Precious Delos Santos Painting Contest Project, the beauty of Bahrain had been painted not just on canvas, but in the hearts of all who participated, making the event a resounding celebration of cultural appreciation and artistic expression.
