The Facebook account of self-proclaimed “Pambansang Marites” Xian Gaza has mysteriously disappeared following a fiery Facebook Live session on May 29, where he defended actress Ivana Alawi and lashed out at Dominique “Nikki” Lopez-Benitez, estranged wife of Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez.
In his 14-minute livestream, Gaza questioned why Ivana was dragged into the ongoing conflict between Nikki and Mayor Benitez, especially since the two have reportedly been separated for years. “Ang hindi ko maintindihan after dalawang dekada, bakit isasabit ‘yung babae na 6 years old pa lang nu’ng naghiwalay kayo?” Gaza exclaimed in his now-deleted video.
He also claimed that Nikki had received a substantial amount of properties, allowances, and paid travel perks during their marriage, asking pointedly, “Ano pa ba ang kulang?” and insinuated that her resistance to annulment suggested a desire to see Mayor Benitez suffer.
Xian’s impassioned defense came with a personal disclaimer: “I will use my influence, my media page, vlog, para depensahan ang tropa ko o mga kaibigan ko na alam kong nasa tama pero naagrabyado.”
The timing of Gaza’s account disappearance raised eyebrows, especially after Victorias City Representative Javi Benitez—son of the estranged couple—posted a cryptic black image on Facebook tagging “@Christian Gaza.” The post quickly went viral, amassing over 50,000 reactions and thousands of shares and comments.
Netizens flooded the comments section with mixed reactions, some mocking Gaza’s sudden silence, others questioning his motives, and a few defending his loyalty to Ivana.
