The Address Jabal Omar Makkah in Saudi Arabia has unveiled the world’s highest prayer room, setting a new Guinness World Record. Suspended 483 meters above sea level, the Sky Mussalla is a marvel of spiritual and architectural design, nestled between the 36th and 38th floors of the hotel’s skybridge.
The city of Makkah, the birthplace of Prophet Muhammad and a pivotal site for Islamic pilgrimages, now boasts this 550-square-meter prayer space. Capable of accommodating approximately 520 worshippers, the Sky Mussalla offers a panoramic view of the sacred Masjid al-Haram and the Holy Kaaba.
The prayer room’s design aims to enhance the spiritual connection of the guests, adorned with Arabic calligraphy depicting the names of God in Islam, such as Al-Muqaddim and Al-Mani.
The Address Jabal Omar Makkah, a jewel in the crown of the Dubai-owned Emaar Hospitality Group, is not just about spiritual heights. It also features luxurious amenities, including 634 rooms, 108 suites, a helipad atop each tower, and a grand four-bedroom penthouse.
