A 38-year-old employee of a bank in India has tragically passed away from a sudden cardiac arrest while working on his laptop. The incident occurred on June 19 at an HDFC Bank branch in Mahoba district, Uttar Pradesh, and was captured on camera, subsequently going viral on social media.
In the video, Rajesh Shinde is seen conversing with a colleague moments before he suddenly leans back in his chair. His coworkers, initially unaware of his distress, quickly responded by administering CPR after realizing his condition. Despite their efforts, Shinde did not survive.
The video has sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many users calling for CPR training to be made mandatory in schools and emphasizing the importance of a healthy lifestyle through regular exercise and a balanced diet.
This incident follows the recent death of Mumbai Cricket Association President Amol Kale, who also succumbed to a cardiac arrest in New York earlier this month. Additionally, health statistics from the Indian Council of Medical Research report heart disease as the cause of 28.1% of deaths in India as of 2016. Experts have warned of various factors that can lead to heart attacks, with studies indicating that individuals with a history of diabetes and COVID-19 are at higher risk.
