Authorities recovered a woman’s body inside a piece of luggage found floating in a river in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.
A local resident discovered the luggage around 6 p.m. and immediately reported it to authorities, according to a State of the Nation report on Thursday.
Police retrieved the suitcase at 8 p.m. and confirmed the presence of a woman’s body inside. Investigators are working to identify the victim and determine if there is any connection to a missing minor case recorded in Barangay 188, Tala, Caloocan.
Authorities have launched a full investigation into the incident.
