Woman with disability strangled and burned in Batangas charcoal plant

A charred body of a woman was discovered at a charcoal-making facility in San Juan, Batangas.

According to a report by GMA Regional TV News on Thursday, the victim, identified as a person with a disability, was recognized by her 11-year-old child.

The child reportedly witnessed the horrific crime, naming a married couple as the suspects. Based on the child’s account, the suspects allegedly strangled the victim, transported her body to the charcoal plant, and set it on fire.

Authorities arrested the suspects, who were later revealed to be relatives of the victim, during a follow-up operation. The couple is now facing murder charges.
