A 47-year-old woman was injured after being stabbed by her male neighbor in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, early Thursday morning.
According to police investigations, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. in Barangay Calayab when the victim approached her neighbor’s house to ask him to lower the volume of his videoke. The request led to an argument between the two, ABS-CBN News reported.
The suspect left but later returned with a knife and allegedly attacked the woman. Others at the scene intervened to stop the assault, and the victim was rushed to the hospital.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect, who fled following the incident.
