The mystery of Catherine Camilon’s disappearance has taken a dark twist as witnesses report seeing the Filipina beauty queen, bloodied and seemingly injured, inside a vehicle. Despite this alarming testimony, the Philippine National Police (PNP) are yet to uncover concrete evidence to confirm her condition.
Major General Romeo Caramat Jr., head of the PNP’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, detailed that Camilon was allegedly seen with significant head injuries in a car, raising fears of foul play. The situation escalated when two witnesses claimed to have observed three men moving a woman, identified as Camilon, from one car to another on the night of her last sighting on October 12. The witnesses’ encounter turned threatening as one of the men, believed to be the driver for a key suspect in the case, brandished a firearm at them.
The investigation is intensely focused on a “love angle” due to reports of Camilon’s romantic involvement with a police officer, who is now a person of interest along with the owner of the car Camilon was last seen in. Caramat suggested a possible altercation between Camilon and the officer she was supposed to meet on the day she vanished.
Meanwhile, Camilon, a school teacher and recent contestant in Miss Grand Philippines, remains missing. The community, along with her distraught family, continues to seek answers, offering a Php250,000 reward for information leading to her location.
