What you need to prepare before applying for MWO Dubai’s new online contract verification system

If you’re an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in the UAE planning to use the new Online Optional Employment Contract Verification System launched by the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) Dubai, it’s important to know exactly what to prepare before you begin.

This fully digital system—developed in partnership with DataFlow Group—allows OFWs to verify their employment contracts and secure their Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) without the need to physically visit MWO. But to ensure a smooth process, applicants must meet eligibility requirements and upload the correct documents. Here’s a detailed guide:

Eligibility requirements:

  • You must meet all of the following conditions:
  • You are holding a valid employment visa
  • Your basic salary is at least AED 1,500
  • You are 24 years old or older if you are a domestic worker
  • You are working for the company listed on your visa
  • You receive your salary through the Wages Protection System (WPS) or directly to your bank account
  • Your employer has a valid trade license and is not blocked by MOHRE

You cannot apply if any of these apply to you:

  • You’re under a visit, student, dependent, or investor visa
  • You’re a domestic worker under 24 years old
  • Your visa sponsor is no longer active or has MOHRE violations
  • Your visa designation is related to seabased work (e.g., seaman, deckhand, boat captain)
  • You’re involved in visa trading
  • You’re not receiving your salary via WPS or direct bank deposit
  • You’re holding a company visa but working as a domestic worker
  • You’re not actually working for your visa sponsor
  • You don’t have a legitimate freelance visa

Identity verification (eKYC):

  • Must upload a valid ID (Emirates ID or passport)
  • Take a video selfie during the process
  • This step is required after you pay the AED 21.50 fee
  • Your application is not complete without finishing eKYC

Processing time:

  • Contract Verification Report: Within 3 working days after submission
  • OEC: Available within 24 hours after downloading the verified contract via portal.dmw.gov.ph

Application window:

  • Open from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM onwards
  • Limited to 200 successful submissions per day
  • Portal closes at 11:59 PM or once the limit is reached
