Dubai Municipality has opened applications for temporary winter camp permits for the 2025–2026 season, allowing residents to secure a designated camping plot in the desert from Tuesday, October 21, at 10 a.m.
Applicants can submit their requests through the ‘Dubai Now’ app using their UAE Pass, or by visiting the Dubai Municipality’s website at wintercamp.dm.gov.ae to complete the “Temporary Winter Camp Permit Application Service” form.
The permits—valid for personal and family use only—cover the official camping season from November 1 to the end of April. Camps can be booked for a minimum of three months and up to six months, which constitutes the full winter camping period. The municipality emphasized that these camps cannot be rented out or used for commercial or hotel activities.
To apply, campers must upload a passport copy, family book copy, and bank account details (including IBAN, bank name, and account holder’s name) for insurance refund purposes. All submissions undergo document verification before approval.
Designated plots for winter camps are located in Al Aweer, where Dubai Municipality provides a safe, regulated environment for families to enjoy outdoor activities during the cooler months.
Authorities reminded campers to follow safety guidelines and use the allotted spaces only for family camping. Each camp must be fenced and limited to approved activities, while unauthorized structures or use outside the designated boundaries are prohibited.
