Walsh College UAE offers up to 50% scholarships for Filipinos pursuing U.S. bachelor’s to PhD programs

Filipino students in the UAE and the Philippines can now pursue U.S.-accredited degrees with greater ease, thanks to a landmark initiative by Walsh College UAE — the official branch campus of the 103-year-old Walsh College in the United States. The institution has officially opened admissions for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs in business and technology, offering a streamlined route for Filipinos to earn a globally recognized education.

In a move hailed as a milestone in regional academic collaboration, Walsh College UAE is providing direct entry for Philippine K–12 Senior High School graduates into American bachelor’s programs — eliminating the need for a foundation year or bridging courses. This reflects growing recognition of the academic compatibility between the Filipino K–12 curriculum and U.S. higher education standards.

Filipino students can now enroll directly in specialized U.S. degree programs such as international business, cybersecurity, accounting, marketing, data analytics, IT, entrepreneurship, finance, and management. Master’s and doctoral aspirants can choose from a wide range of advanced programs including MBAs and PhDs in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and organizational leadership.

Walsh College UAE is also rolling out founding scholarships that cover up to 50% of tuition fees, along with complimentary student transport, making American education more accessible to aspiring Filipino professionals. These offers are available on a limited basis and are subject to terms and conditions.

Originally founded by Mervyn B. Walsh — the accountant of famed inventor Thomas Edison — Walsh College has carved out a reputation for excellence in business and innovation. Its UAE campus now brings that same academic prestige to the region, with the added benefit of flexible study options. Students may complete their full U.S. degree in the UAE or transfer to the main campus in Troy, Michigan after one year, pending visa and academic approvals.

Transferred students can qualify for Optional Practical Training (OPT), allowing them to gain up to two years of work experience in the U.S. in high-demand STEM fields.

Further solidifying its global credibility, Walsh College is recognized by the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense — a distinction held by only a few institutions worldwide.

Applications are now open, and early registration is encouraged to secure scholarships and transport perks. More information can be found at www.walshcollege.ae, or through their UAE-based contact numbers: +971-65300408 and +971-524425526.
