Dubai Police have opened applications for volunteers to support the seventh edition of the UAE SWAT Challenge, scheduled from 7 to 11 February 2026 at Al Ruwayyah Training City in Dubai.
The call for volunteers comes as the competition continues to expand its international profile, drawing elite police special units, rapid intervention teams, and tactical forces from multiple countries. The event has become a recurring fixture on Dubai’s public safety calendar, combining operational demonstrations with large-scale public engagement.
According to Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, Director of the General Department of Community Happiness at Dubai Police, the volunteer programme reflects national priorities that encourage citizen participation in public initiatives and shared responsibility between institutions and society. He said volunteer-driven activities support broader development objectives linked to social cohesion and quality of life.
Al Mansouri added that the police force, under the direction of Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, places sustained focus on partnerships with the community. These collaborations are intended to strengthen public confidence, support preventive awareness programmes, and contribute to community safety efforts.
He explained that volunteers assigned to the UAE SWAT Challenge and related activities gain practical exposure to large-scale event operations while developing organisational, interpersonal, and civic skills. Participation also allows volunteers to observe tactical scenarios highlighting speed, accuracy, and coordinated response techniques used by specialist police teams.
Dubai Police noted that volunteer involvement in previous police-led events played a key role in operational support tasks such as crowd coordination and event logistics, prompting the continued expansion of volunteer opportunities across major initiatives.
Volunteer applications for the UAE SWAT Challenge 2026 are being accepted through Dubai Police’s official volunteer platform.
