The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) is weighing possible sanctions against a vlogger who filmed a “random train date” inside an LRT-2 train without prior authorization.
In an official statement released on September 9, 2024, the LRTA emphasized that the shoot occurred without any clearance from the agency. The LRTA clarified that filming inside trains is generally prohibited to protect the privacy of passengers and ensure safety protocols are followed.
The video, uploaded on the TikTok account @TrionKwentos, shows the vlogger setting up a romantic date inside the train. The scene involved a folding table with a white tablecloth, a picnic basket, candles, and other tableware, mimicking a concept popularized by foreign content creators.
“Such activities are strictly prohibited on LRTA premises and facilities,” the LRTA reiterated, urging content creators to respect passenger privacy and adhere to safety regulations. The agency also warned that they “reserve the right to take appropriate action against individuals who violate safety and security guidelines.”
No final decision on the specific penalties has been announced.
