Viy Cortez denies claim of receiving P50M from senatorial candidate

Social media personality and entrepreneur Viy Cortez dismissed a blind item alleging that a senatorial aspirant paid a social media couple ₱50 million to endorse them in the upcoming elections.

In a Facebook post on February 2, Cortez laughed off the claim, saying that if it were true, she would no longer need to sell intimate hygiene products.

“Shutakkayo, what ₱50M are you talking about? HAHAHAHAHA. Would I still be selling feminine and male hygiene products if someone actually gave me that much?” she wrote.

She also jokingly urged her followers to buy her products, saying, “Purchase some so you don’t smell bad, and maybe that rumor will come true! HAHA.”

In 2024, a Facebook post featuring senatorial candidate Camille Villar and Cortez at a supermarket owned by Villar’s family sparked online discussions.
