Last Saturday, a Vietnamese woman was seen roaming naked in the departure area of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3. According to a report by Darlene Cay on “Saksi” on Tuesday, the woman had allegedly been offloaded from her flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
“She was offloaded, then went to the public toilet in the departure area and came out naked. We don’t know the reason,” said APO1 Michael Ronald de Guzman, NAIA Terminal 3 airport police.
Despite the unusual incident, the woman did not cause any harm or chaos at the airport. Airport personnel quickly provided her with clothes, water, and a wheelchair. The airport’s medical team was able to calm her down.
“She’s about 34 years old and appeared a little irritable because she couldn’t communicate in Tagalog and her English wasn’t good. We used Google Translate to communicate with her. After some time, we dressed her up,” said Manuel Sequitin, Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) Assistant General Manager for Security and Emergency Services.
Once her condition improved, the Vietnamese woman was allowed to travel back to Vietnam on Sunday.
