Maris Racal and Vice Ganda had a lighthearted exchange on social media after a 2022 clip of Racal describing Vice Ganda as “may edad na beki” resurfaced online.
In May 2022, Racal, along with actress Jai Agpangan and content creator Kyo Quijano, participated in the “Pipilahan o Di Pipilahan” challenge in a vlog shared on Racal’s YouTube channel. When asked about Vice Ganda, all three responded “Pipilahan.”

Racal explained her choice by saying, “Feeling ko ang ganda niyang maging ate.” She added, “Gusto ko may Vice Ganda sa buhay ko. Feeling ko kasi iga-guide niya ako kung ano mang problema ko. Iba talaga ‘pag ano, ‘pag may edad na na beki. Parang grabe talaga, iba ‘yung growth niya.”
Vice Ganda only recently became aware of this clip and reposted it on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, July 18. The “It’s Showtime” host humorously captioned the repost, “Hoyyyy talaga ba, Maris????? ‘MAY EDAD NA NA BEKI’?!!!! Talaga lang ha!!!!!”

Racal, surprised at the resurfacing of the two-year-old clip, replied, “HOY SINONG NAGHALUNGKAT NITOOOOOOO???? SORRY MEME!!!! Love youuuu.”
