Vice Ganda, Maymay join SB19 in bold new MV tackling unity and change

P-pop sensation SB19 surprised fans with the release of two new music videos—Dungka! and Time—marking the final chapter of their trilogy EP Simula at Wakas, under Sony Music Entertainment and 1Z Entertainment.

Directed by Kerbs Balagtas of YouMeUs MNL, Dungka! delivers a bold message on inclusivity and social awareness. “Our idea was to highlight our group’s diversity and showcase each member’s unique personality,” the group said. “It grew into something bigger, bringing in people from all walks of life to reflect the extraordinariness in our differences.”

The video also features an ensemble of Filipino personalities including Vice Ganda, Maymay Entrata, Mimiyuuuh, Alodia Gosiengfiao, Sassa Gurl, Shehyee, and Ghost Wrecker, among others.

“When someone brought up Ate Vice, it just made perfect sense,” SB19 shared. “Her personality and connection to the public really aligned with the message we were trying to send.”

Dungka! echoes themes of empowerment and collective action, with the group describing it as a visual movement that calls for change and unity. “No matter who you are or where you’re from, you can take part in change. That’s really the heart of the idea,” they emphasized.

Meanwhile, Time, directed by 1032 Lab, takes a more introspective tone, reminding viewers of the value of time and the importance of spending it meaningfully. “It’s a universal concern. Everyone… is affected by how we use time,” SB19 explained. “Let’s use it wisely, before it slips away.”

The group is set to kick off their Simula at Wakas world tour at the Philippine Arena on May 31, with stops across Asia, the United States, and the Middle East. Members Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin are expected to bring their messages of purpose and transformation to a global stage.
