Kapamilya host, Vice Ganda, has set a remarkable milestone as the first Filipino to garner 15 million followers on Twitter.
During an episode of “It’s Showtime,” Vice expressed gratitude to his vast following, observing a surge in numbers even amidst a recent controversy with boyfriend Ion Perez. “It’s fascinating how my followers increased. Many have really followed. With everything that happened, even more followers came. Thank you very much to all my Twitter followers,” he said.
Proudly, he added, “There are now 15 million of you. It’s delightful to be the first Filipino to have 15 million followers on Twitter.”
The host took a moment to appreciate his co-host, Anne Curtis, for introducing him to the world of Twitter. Recalling the past, Vice shared, “Back when social media wasn’t as intense, I was already the Facebook Queen. I was the first Filipino to reach one million followers on Facebook. But when Anne was into Twitter, she told me to try it. I initially hesitated, thinking it was just for the elite and too showbiz-centric. But now, here we are with 15 million. Thank you so much. Many of them tune into ‘Showtime’ every day.”
On another bright note, Vice also shared that his game show, “Everybody Sing,” is in the running for Best Asian Original Game Show at the ContentAsia Awards.
