According to the Vatican’s latest health update, the 87-year-old pontiff has shown slight improvement over the past 24 hours. He remains on oxygen therapy but has not suffered further respiratory complications. A CT scan of his lungs conducted on Tuesday indicated that the inflammation is healing as expected.
Concerns arose over the weekend when doctors detected mild kidney insufficiency, sparking fears of possible kidney failure. However, officials confirmed on Wednesday that the issue has been resolved.
