TikTok has introduced a new feature that allows users in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, and 16 additional countries to save their favorite songs directly to music apps. This announcement, revealed in a recent press release from the popular social media platform, follows the successful launch of the same feature in the UK and US.
TikTok has collaborated with major music streaming services, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, to streamline the process of saving tracks. The feature is conveniently accessible via a button labeled “Add Song” located next to the track name at the bottom of videos in the “For You” feed. This button invites users to save the song to their chosen music streaming service.
For first-time users, pressing the “Add Song” button prompts them to select their preferred music app, where the track is saved to a default playlist. Additionally, users have the option to add the track to a new or existing playlist of their choice. Once a music app is selected for the first time, it becomes the default service for future saves, though users retain the flexibility to change this setting at any time.
The feature is also available from an artist’s Sound Detail Page, further enhancing user experience and interaction with music content.
