The National Centre of Meteorology forecasts unstable weather conditions for today, with the skies transitioning from partly cloudy to cloudy. This change is due to the formation of convective clouds over various parts of the country.
Winds will vary from moderate to fresh in strength but may intensify at times, leading to dust and sand storms that could significantly reduce horizontal visibility. Accompanying the cloud cover, the country will experience rainfall of varying intensities, which will be coupled with lightning and thunder.
Temperature highs could reach up to 33ºC, with Abu Dhabi and Dubai expecting temperatures around 30ºC. Cooler temperatures are forecasted for the evening, with lows of 20ºC in Abu Dhabi, 21ºC in Dubai, and down to 10ºC in the mountainous regions.
Humidity levels will be high, ranging from 50 to 90 per cent in Abu Dhabi and 45 to 90 per cent in Dubai, adding to the discomfort during this unstable weather period.
Marine conditions will also be affected, with the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea expected to be moderate to rough, especially when under cloud cover.
